About Me

My name is Ben Riley, and I live in Calhoun Georgia with my wife and three children.  I finished up teaching my 12th year in the self-contained severe/profound classroom setting in 2021.  While this was my last year teaching in the classroom, for now, I have taken on a new role with the school system as facilities manager, and for now, hope to use the information gained in this class to better equip and train my team to serve the teachers and students we interact with daily. In general, I use technology to create event calendars and schedules and keep track of payroll and staffing, inventory, and other information needed digitally. My undergraduate degree is in audio production, so I am proficient in these types of computer programs and live applications. My school duties also encompass managing our performing arts center and training students in live sound and lighting programming. Lighting design is a lot more complex than I had envisioned, yet I enjoy learning and growing in this area of technology.
